Women's Premier Handball League: GD continue return to form

London GD continued their return to form with victory over NEM Hawks in the Women’s Premier Handball League.

GD edged past Hawks 23-22 in an exciting contest to take maximum points. The London side went into the break trailing by a goal as Hawks led 14-13. However, they did enough in the second period to turn that around to secure victory.

Maria Marseli top scored for GD with seven goals, while Franchesca Graham found the back of the net five times.

Hawks' Sarah Carrick headed the scoring charts in the match, beating the keeper eight times, while Athalia Ibanga scored five goals.

GD move up to third in the table on 15 points. Hawks are a point behind but have played a game less the table, but just a point behind Hawks. Cambridge Angels, sit bottom, behind Hawks on goal difference, but having played a match more.
