Women's Premier Handball League: Hawks travel to leaders Olympia

Women’s Premier Handball League table-toppers Olympia host NEM Hawks on Saturday, while second-place Cambridge are also in action on Saturday, against London Angels.

The weekend’s other match, on Sunday, sees Reading travel to London GD.

Olympia head the standings on goal difference after wins against Reading Lionesses and Angels. Hawks go into the match looking for their first victory of the campaign after losing to GD, and against Cambridge in a thriller. Throw-off at Barking Sporthouse is at 13.00. It precedes the Men’s Premier Handball League match between the two sides at 15.00 in a great double-header.

Cambridge, fresh from the nail-biter against Hawks, and an opening-day win over West London Eagles take on Angels at Moulton College. Angels are playing their second match of the season, and will be bidding for maximum points after losing their opener to Olympia. Throw-off is at 12.30. It precedes the Men’s Premier Handball League match between Cambridge and Carshalton Titans at 14.30 in another great double bill.

Reading make the short trip to the Copper Box to take on London GD. Reading, also playing their second match, go into the game looking to banish memories of a heavy defeat against Olympia in week one. GD, meanwhile, will be aiming to take maximum points after a narrow loss to West London Eagles in week two. Throw-off is at 14.30 and follows the Men’s Premier Handball League match between GD and Nottingham in another double-match bonanza.
