Reading Lionesses versus West London Eagles will pit fifth against sixth in the league. University of Loughborough will face London GD, NEM Hawks play London Angels, and Olympia face Peninsula.
NEM Hawks and London Angels are on equal points and adjacent in the league. Together with West London Eagles, they are all on 18 points. When Hawks played Angels in the league in October, the Londoners triumphed by three goals. If they win this weekend, it will be three league wins in a row for Angels: the first that has happened since the first three matches of the new season.
Throw-off is at 13.30 at Oldham Leisure Centre on Saturday.
University of Loughborough were promoted to the Premier Handball League at the start of this season, and enjoyed their first win in the top tier in January. This weekend they will play last year’s league champions London GD, currently second in the table having won six out of eight. In their last league matches, London GD were defeated by Olympia, and the students went down to London Angels.
Throw-off is at 12.30 at Sutton Bonington Sport Centre on Saturday.
League leaders Olympia will play Peninsula. The Londoners have been knocked out of the National Cup so have the opportunity to stay focussed on their league position, where they are unbeaten.
Peninsula are seventh in the table having won one and drawn one from their eight matches.
Throw-off is at 15.30 at Barking Sporthouse on Sunday.
In the final match of the weekend, West London Eagles travel to Berkshire to take on Reading Lionesses. These two teams are in opposing semi-finals of the National Cup, so there is a chance this could be the Cup final line-up. In their last round of league matches, Eagles were beaten by Olympia and Lionesses defeated Peninsula.
Throw-off is at 13.00 at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre on Sunday.
