Women's Premier Handball League: Leaders Olympia beat Eagles

Women’s Premier Handball League leaders Olympia won against West London Eagles, while London GD beat London Angels.

Olympia won 27-18 against Eagles, extending their advantage in the second half after leading 12-9 at the break. Denisa Le-Mon found the back of the net seven times for Olympia, while Youana Markova and Saura Antunes weighed in with five goals apiece. Zoe Lacour scored half of Eagles’ goals as she beat the keeper nine times. Eagles stay in fifth place.

GD beat bottom side London Angels 29-16 after leading 13-7 at half time. Nikola Syzmura led the way for GD with seven goals. Haruka Okyhira bagged eight goals for Angels. The win sees GD leapfrog Cambridge into second place.
