Women's Premier Handball League: Lionesses face Cambridge Test

Leaders Cambridge travel to Reading Lionesses in the Women’s Premier Handball League this weekend.

Elsewhere, there are two London derbies with West London Eagles hosting Olympia, and London Angels playing London GD.

Promoted Cambridge are the only side still with a perfect record after three rounds, winning against London Angels last time out. Lionesses have suffered two heavy defeats in their first two matches and will be looking to turn things around and get their season motoring. Throw-off at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre on Saturday is at 13.30.

Eagles and Olympia meet at 14.30 at Leyton Score Centre on Saturday. Olympia lost against NEM Hawks in a one-goal thriller in their last match and will be bidding to return to winning ways. Eagles have played two matches so far this term, with record of won one, and lost one. Following the Women’s match there is the Men’s Premier Handball League meeting between the two sides at 16.30 in a great double-header.

Sunday sees Angels host GD at Barking Sporthouse at 12.00. Angels, like Reading, have lost their first two matches and will want to turn that form around. GD lost their last match, and 100% record, in a close match at West London Eagles in the last round, and will want to put that disappointment behind them. The match is followed at 15.00 by the Men’s Premier Handball League clash between Carshalton and GD in another great double bill.
