Round seven in the women’s Premier Handball League sees London Angels take on West London Eagles in a London derby.
Olympia play the University of Loughborough, Reading Lionesses welcome NEM Hawks to Berkshire, and league leaders London GD face Peninsula.
Both Angels and Eagles have won three games so far this season, with Eagles a point ahead of Angels in the table with an extra game under their belts. Angels won their first three matches in a row then have narrowly lost the last two.
Eagles were victorious against Peninsula in their last outing. Throw-off in the London derby is 13.30 at Barking Sporthouse on Sunday.
Olympia are yet to lose a match this season, and this weekend they face University of Loughborough. The students are still waiting for their first Premier Handball League win, having been promoted this season.
The teams throw off at 13.30 at Barking Sporthouse on Saturday.
Reading Lionesses play NEM Hawks. Hawks are currently third in the table following a win over Peninsula in round six. Lionesses went down to Olympia last time around.
Throw-off is at 12.30 in Loddon Valley Leisure Centre on Sunday.
The final match of the weekend is between London GD and Peninsula. GD have been on a winning streak since their Premier Handball League opening day defeat. In their previous match, Peninsula were beaten by Olympia.
Throw-off is at 14.30 in Leyton Scorecentre on Sunday.
London GD’s lead at the top of the table is by just one point over Olympia, so if Olympia win and GD lose or draw then Olympia could go into first place. Positions three to seven in the league are only separated by five points, so by the end of this weekend, everything could change.
