Women's Premier Handball League: Peninsula come close but Angels triumph

Peninsula were narrowly defeated 18-20 by London Angels in the only fixture in the women’s Premier Handball League.

It was 9-9 at half-time, but the Londoners put in a stronger second half to win by two goals. Jemaine Knott scored four for Peninsula, and Aniko Pinter netted nine times for Angels including the final goal.

With this win, the Londoners climb to third in the table. They are two points behind London GD in second, and six behind leaders Olympia. Peninsula are two points behind Reading Lionesses in sixth, after ten games played.
