Women's Premier Handball League: Table-toppers Olympia take on Hawks

Women’s Premier Handball League leaders Olympia travel to NEM Hawks this weekend, while London Angels play Cambridge.

Olympia have lost just once this season, that defeat coming at the hands of Hawks in week three of the season in a thrilling game where the teams were separated by just on goal. Since then they have won their last five matches. Hawks form has improved as the season has gone on and they have taken maximum points from three of their last four clashes. Their only defeat in that time came when they were just edged out by GD. Throw-off at Oldham Leisure Centre is at 13.30 on Sunday. The match is followed by the Men’s Premier Handball meeting between the two sides at 15.30 in a great double bill.

Angels have found the going tough and are yet to register their first victory. Cambridge, who topped the table early in the season, have struggled for form in recent games with three defeats in their last four. They’ll be looking to turn that around and make a challenge for the title in the last third of the season. Throw-off at Barking Sporthouse on Sunday is at 12.00. The game is followed by the Men’s Premier Handball League match between Cambridge and Carshalton Titans at 15.00 in a great double-header.
