Women's Premier Handball League: unbeaten London Angels face NEM Hawks

Table-toppers London Angels face NEM Hawks in round three of fixtures in the women’s Premier Handball League. In other matches, West London Eagles play Reading Lionesses, and London GD face University of Loughborough.

London Angels, who head to Sicily for the European Handball Federation beach handball Champions Cup in November, welcome NEM Hawks to London. Hawks recorded an opening day win but were beaten by London GD in round two. Angels have won both of their opening matches which were against the two newly-promoted teams.

Hawks sit in fifth but have an impressive goal difference. Throw-off will be in Barking Sporthouse at 13.30 on Sunday.

Eagles play Lionesses on Saturday in Barking Sporthouse with both teams looking for their inaugural win of the season. Lionesses sit just above Eagles in the table by virtue of having recorded one defeat and one draw. Throw-off is at 15.00.

In the third match of the weekend, London GD play University of Loughborough on Sunday. The teams head to Medway Park where GD men’s side also play their fixture. GD have one win and a draw against their names so far this season, and Loughborough have two defeats.

In their previous outings, GD beat NEM Hawks whereas Loughborough went down to Angels. Throw-off is at 16.00.

Peninsula and Olympia sit this weekend out.
