Women's Super-7: Eagles and GD eye top spot

Second-place West London Eagles have the chance to go top when they host London GD in a Capital-city derby on Sunday.

Victory over GD would take Eagles onto seven points, one more than Olympia, although they would have played a match more. GD, who started their campaign with a win over Cambridge, could also head the table. A victory by more than four goals would take them ahead of Olympia on goal difference. Throw-off at Leyton is at 14.30 and is part of a great double-header with the men’s teams in action against each other at 12.30.

The other match in Super-7 sees NEM Hawks get their season underway when they play Cambridge at Sporthouse on Saturday. Newly promoted Cambridge, meanwhile, will be eyeing maximum points following defeats to London GD and Olympia in their opening games. Throw-off is at 15.30 and is preceded by a men’s Super-8 clash between Cambridge and Hawks at 13.30.

Get down to your local match and watch the most exciting, high scoring, action packed, contact, team sport that can be played anywhere by anyone. Support your team, follow the sport, share the excitement, be a fan.
