NEM Hawks climbed off the bottom of Women’s Super-7 table after beating West London Eagles to secure their first win of the season.
Hawks, who had turned in good performances against London GD and Olympia in previous weeks, ran out 29-26 winners.
Hawks dominated the first half, going into the break 20-9 up. However, Eagles fought back in the second half to provide a tense finish.
Hawks lie in fifth spot on 11 points, although they’ve played a match more than Cambridge and Olympia below them, who both have 10 points. Eagles stay fourth.
