Leaders Olympia host West London Eagles in Women’s Super-7 on Saturday.
Olympia moved three points clear at the top of the table after beating NEM Hawks in their last outing, although they were pushed hard by the bottom side, clinching victory by a single goal. That was Olympia’s fourth win-in-a-row and they’ll be looking to extend that run. Eagles suffered a heavy defeat against London GD last week, and drew against Coventry before that, and will be bidding to get back to winning ways. Throw-off at Leyton Score Centre is at 14.00 and is followed by the Men’s Super-8 match between the sides at 16.00.
Defending Champions London GD will be aiming to keep up the pressure on Olympia when they make the trip North to play Hawks on Sunday. Hawks will want to build on the performance against Olympia as they bid to move off the bottom rung. They know a win, and defeat for London Angels against Coventry Sharks would take them to sixth on goal difference. Throw-off at Oldham is at 14.30 and is part of a great double bill with the men’s Super-8 match between the two sides at 12.30.
Angels host Sharks at Sporthouse in Barking on Sunday. Sharks, like GD, will be bidding for maximum points to make sure they stay in touch with Olympia. A win for Angels, however, would see them leapfrog Cambridge into fifth spot. Throw-off is at 14.30.
