Coventry Sharks go into the Christmas break top of women’s Super-7 after beating NEM Hawks.
Sharks ran out 28-19 winners against the North-west side at Cranfield to move onto 14 points.
Olympia, who have played a match less than Sharks, sit in second following a thriller with London GD. Olympia were 21-20 victors, in the process ending GD’s 100 per cent record. Olympia have 13 points. GD are in fourth spot on 10 points but have played just four games.
West London Eagles, who didn’t play at the weekend are third on 12 points.
The weekend’s other match pitched Cambridge against London Angels in another nail-biting contest, which finished 15-15. Both Cambridge and Angels have nine points from six games. Cambridge lie in fifth, ahead of Angels on goal difference.
