Leaders Olympia host bottom side London Angels at Leyton Score Centre in Women’s Super-7 on Saturday.
Olympia have been in stunning form with five wins on the trot. Angels have won just once this term and slumped to the foot of the table after NEM Hawks claimed their first victory of the campaign against West London Eagles. However, they, and Cambridge in sixth, have played a game less than Hawks. Throw-off is at 14.00 and is followed by the men’s Super-8 match between Olympia and Nottingham at 16.00.
Second-place London GD play West London Eagles in another Capital City derby on Saturday. Defending champions GD have taken maximum points from their last three games and beat Eagles 32-16 when they last met. Eagles last win came back in November against London Angels, since when they have drawn one and lost three. Throw-off at Sporthouse is at 13.00 and precedes the Super-8 clash between the two clubs at 15.00.
NEM Hawks and Cambridge meet in a crucial match at the bottom of the table. Hawks jumped to fifth following their win over Eagles. Victory over Cambridge would send them four points clear of the East Anglian side. However, a win for Cambridge would take them a point above Hawks with a game in hand. Throw-off is at 14.30 and is part of a great double bill that also sees the men’s Super-8 match between Hawks and Cambridge at 12.30.
