Womens' Super-7: Olympia crowned champions

Olympia were crowned womens’ Super-7 Champions after winning the title decider against Capital City rivals London GD.

Olympia ran out 24-18 victors in the crunch clash against the defending champions to finish top by one point.

GD will now turn their attention to the England Handball National Cup final where they face Coventry Sharks as they bid for silverware.

In an equally important match at the other end of the table London Angels beat Cambridge 20-12 at Sporthouse. The win saw Angles leapfrog Cambridge who finish the season in bottom place. Cambridge will now play Medway Dragons in a play-off match. The winner of that match will play top-flight handball next season.

NEM Hawks lost to Coventry Sharks in a close affair. A tight first half finished 13-10 in Sharks favour. The second half saw the teams evenly matched as foit ended 25-21 to Sharks. Holly Lam-Moores scored eight for Hawks, while Jolanta Bicka found the back of the net four times for Sharks. Coventry finish third, while Hawks end the season in fifth.
